The Downfall Of A Tyrant

Al-Fatiha

Saddam Hussein, Ruler of Iraq.
It was a Public Holiday around the world and that day was chosen to be the day Saddam Hussein was to be executed. He was sentenced to be hanged till death.

There were mixed reactions about his execution. I too feel that if only his day of execution be delayed after the Days of Tashriq, the muslim world would not be so divided.

Judges, though making judgement about certain executions, should consider emotions and repercussions that will lead to World events.

Yes, Saddam must die but must he die on that very particular day? Will prolonging Saddam's execution make one a lesser judge? A smart judge would weigh the pros and cons of the execution, be more judgemental and make decisions without outside interferences.

Why rush? Was he trying to hide something? They say that dead men tell no tales. What was he afraid of?

There is no Fear but Fear of Allah.

Anyway, soon after Saddam was hanged, the web was busy with the traffic directed to searching for videos of Saddam's execution.

I have seen all kinds of execution on television and movies but these are all acting. Never have I seen a REAL execution takes place and this is the first time I see a prominent figure being executed.

Ya Allah! Na'uzubillahi Min Zalik!
Ameen.
